Story behind the work...

This belonged to my client's grandmother. It was an oversized button down shirt with short sleeves and shoulder pads. Upon her passing, my client decided to honor her memory she would like to wear this blouse and update it to be more fashion forward. We removed the sleeves, reshaped the arm holes and added bust darts to make a more form fitting silhouette. We also reshaped the hem to add a high-low effect and modernize the garment. Now it pairs perfectly with jeans and a blazer!
